What We Do

Annual Bike Rodeo

Collaborating with Overland Mountain Bike Association, Larimer County 4-H Foundation, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, and Safe Kids Colorado our club sponsors the Kiwanis Wellington Bike Rodeo each year. As kids check in, we provide a safety check, give away helmets and bikes, and teach safe bike riding through a course that emphasizes bike handling, hand signals and watching for traffic. Ziggi’s Coffee (7440 5th Street in Wellington) provides treats and the event is held in their parking lot. Check out our Calendar and watch for the dates next year!

Fishing Derby for Kids

Working with the Colorado Parks & Widlife, we stock a local pond with fish, donate fishing rods, reels and bait, then help provide kids with instructions on casting, fishing and returning some catches back to the water.

Harvest Festival and Corn Maze

Celebrating the end of Summer and looking ahead to the school year, our club helps sponsor this event for local kids.

Wellington Food Bank

Twice each month, the Club provides help and transportation of Food for local families in need.

Wellington History Walk for Gradeschool Kids

Working with the local schools, members dress in period costumes and provide kids with the history of buildings and businesses to help provide a sense of pride in their community.
